Dyatlov Pass Soy Candle
In February 1959, nine hikers died mysteriously in Russia's Ural Mountains. When investigators reached the campsite weeks after the disappearance was reported, they found the tent collapsed with nearly all of the hikers' gear inside. They found the hikers themselves at various points away from the tent - all were dressed in inadequate clothing for sub-zero weather. Six hikers had died of hypothermia, three from physical trauma. One was irradiated.
Various theories have been put forward to explain the hikers' demise, including katabatic winds, UFOs, a military experiment, an avalanche, and even the famous Yeti. In 2019, the Russian government reopened the investigation and concluded that an avalanche had been the cause of the hikers' doom, but who really believes an "official explanation" anyway?
Our Dyatlov Pass 100% soy wax candle brings all the wonderful smells of an icy, mountainous Russian pass - a blend of iced balsam, wintery winds, and rich evergreen - into your home, minus the danger of avalanches, sudden unexplained wind phenomena, or Yeti attacks.
Burn time is approximately 50 hours for our 8 oz. candles and 15-20 hours for our 3 oz. candles.
