The Horseman's Ride Soy Candle - 8 oz.
It's said that the Headless Hessian of the Hollow (a.k.a., the Headless Horseman) lost his head by way of a cannonball during the Battle of White Plains in October 1776. His comrades hastily carried the Hessian's headless body from the battlefield and buried him in a grave at the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow, from which he rises at night to search for his missing head - sometimes wielding a jack-o-lantern as a replacement. In popular stories, such as Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, the Hessian chases his victims over the Old Dutch Bridge, through forest and gully, trying to knock them from their horse as he throws his severed head from afar.
Ever wondered what a late October, midnight ride through the misty forests of Sleepy Hollow might be like? Well, now you can with our Horseman's Ride 8 oz. soy wax candle!
Just as the misty forests around Sleepy Hollow, our candle smells of oak and cedar, mixing in sweeter fragrances like bright citrus, vanilla, and florals. It's exactly what you'd expect the forests of New York to smell like on a cool autumn evening - without the whole "being chased by a headless monster" thing to worry about.
Burn time is approximately 50 hours for our 8 oz. candles.
